Japan Wisteria Scenic Demitasse Saucer
This
vintage hand painted white porcelain demitasse cup and saucer set is
orange stamped “Made in Occupied Japan”, circa 1945 thru 1952.
Scalloped gilded edge saucer measures 4-7/8" in diameter, stands
3/4" high from the base. Scene includes deep orange and gold foil
house surrounded by green trees, lilac wisteria blossoms, pale blue
mountain in background, pale blue water in foreground. Gold foil accents
throughout. Nice condition – no chips, though fine cracks and rough
spots on back due to age.
